Two women were arrested Thursday afternoon when officers conducted a probation compliance check at a house near Gassville.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says 38-year-old probationer Julieann McMeechan of Gamaliel and 30-year-old Heather Nichole McDaniel of Mountain Home were at the residence when officers arrived. It was determined McDaniel has also been living at the residence.

During a search of the residence, officers found smoking devices, digital scales, and numerous small baggies used to package and dispense drugs. The items tested positive for methamphetamine residue.

McMeechan and McDaniel were both arrested and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where they were booked on one felony count each of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bonds for the two were set at $3,500 each, and they will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court to answer to the charge early next month.
