Linda Jones of Mountain Home changed her plea to guilty on drug-related charges and was given 10 years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 33-year-old Jones had been on police radar because of complaints of drug sales and drug use taking place at her apartment on East 8th Street in Mountain Home.

In mid-October last year, a confidential informant made arrangements to buy drugs from an individual who took the informant to Jones’ apartment where the drugs were supplied. The substance sold to the informant field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Officers searched the apartment October 19th last year. They reported finding methamphetamine, sets of digital scales, loaded and unloaded syringes and hundreds of small plastic bags often used to package drugs.

The officers searching Jones’ apartment reported while they were in the residence, telephone messages continued to come in to various cellphones from people seeking to buy or trade for drugs.
