Three resolutions, a presentation and a request will be considered by the Mountain Home City Council when it meets Thursday evening at 6:00.

For the second time the council will consider a resolution recognizing the opioid epidemic in the U.S. and Arkansas. The resolution also calls for the City of Mountain Home to engage in litigation as a member of the Municipal Legal Defense Program against those entities and people responsible for this societal crisis. In early January, the council considered the resolution to enter the city into the class action lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies pushing certain opioid medications without taking action.

The council will also consider a resolution of intent regarding local cost share of a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) replacement project and a 2017 budget cleanup resolution.

In addition, the council is scheduled to hear a presentation from Methvin Sanitation and a request to approve an auction list.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of the Municipal Building.
