Majority of schools open, roads have patchy ice

The impact of anticipated ice for the Twin Lakes Area wasn’t as significant as predicted Tuesday. There is some patchy ice on the streets and highways. Drivers should exercise caution.

Most of the schools in the KTLO, Classic Hits 101.7 and The Boot’s listening area will be open Wednesday. Mountain Home Public Schools will be running snow routes only. Norfork Public Schools will have a late start at 10:00.

Schools closed Wednesday include Bakersfield, Dora, Gainesville, Highland, Jasper, Lutie, Mammoth Spring, Mountain Grove, Mountain View, Norwood, Ozark Mountain, Rural Special, Salem, Thornfield, Timbo, Viola and West Plains.

Izard County and Melbourne Public Schools will have a two hour delay.
