A 58-year-old Harmon man, Steven William Bell, has been taken into custody after allegedly sending explicit images of himself to minors. According to Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore, on February 6th the Boone County Sheriffs Office was supplied information about a man, later identified as Bell, making contact with several juvenile girls on Facebook.Bell is currently being held on a $100,000.00 bond at the Boone County Jail. He faces charges of internet stalking of a child, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In one incident, Bell had a conversation on Facebook Messenger with a female he believed to be 13 years of age. He allegedly began speaking sexually to the girl and sent an explicit picture via Facebook Messenger.
Sheriff Moore says he encourages parents of minor children to be alert of their activities on all social media, as sexual predators use these types of tools to stalk children.
