A continuance has been granted in the case of 25-year-old Marian Piatchek of Desoto, Missouri who was extradited to Marion County last August in connection with an aggravated robbery incident.

Fourteenth Judicial District Circuit Judge Gordon Webb granted the continuance Wednesday, with Piatchek to reappear in April.

At the time of the arrest, Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans said the felony charges of aggravated robbery and residential burglary stem from an altercation in Summit. When deputies arrived at the residence, the victims said they had been beaten and robbed at gunpoint by an individual they identified as Piatchek and two other individuals, one black male and another individual wearing a hoodie and gloves.

While Piatchek and the black male conversed with the victims, the other individual came through the door with two handguns and began demanding money. Both victims said they were “pistol whipped” and received serious injury.

All three suspects left the residence in an unknown direction, in an unknown vehicle before deputies arrived. The suspects took a handgun, money, and a cell phone.

Sheriff’s investigators tracked Piatchek to an address in DeSoto, Missouri where Jefferson County Sheriff’s officers took her into custody.
