The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting in February, including work for a bridge in Ozark County.

The Commission’s website notes a contract was awarded to Above and Below Contracting, LLC, for bridge scour repairs on 11 structures, including Route 160 over the North Fork River in Ozark County. The total award was for $638,480.

Bridge scour is the removal of sediment such as sand and rocks from around bridge abutments or piers.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.

Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
