Democrat Chintan Desai filed to run for the 1st Congressional District seat held by Republican Rep. Rick Crawford, who is seeking re-election. Robb Ryerse filed to run in the Republican primary for the 3rd Congressional District against incumbent Rep. Steve Womack.
Election officials say 135 Republicans and 91 Democrats filed to run for state and federal office over the past week.
