MH softball team invokes mercy rule in win over Highland

The Mountain Home High School softball team was able to invoke the mercy rule in the third inning on Friday as they routed Highland 16-1. Reagan Hasselwander picked up the win as she pitched two innings, struck out four batters and gave up two hits and no earned runs. Offensively for the Lady Bombers, Courtney Green had two hits and three RBIs; Chassie Whitlow provided two hits and drove in three runs; Madison Manes ended up with two hits, three runs and an RBI; Addison Yates had two hits and an RBI; Emily Payne added a hit and three RBIs; and Bella Bevel finished with a hit and two RBIs.

Mountain Home also dominated the junior varsity contest as they pounded Highland 13-2. Tori Ross was the winning pitcher with three innings, one strikeout and one earned run. Gabby Ramirez led the J.V. Lady Bombers with two hits and two RBIs, and Marcie Cudworth provided two hits and scored two runs.
