ABC/Heidi GutmanBillie Joe Armstrong is up to something. Over the past week, the Green Day frontman has been teasing a new project called The Longshot on his Instagram.
The posts, which feature various cartoon images, include a link to a private Instagram account named @Longshot. The profile’s bio reads, “New album Love Is for Losers coming eventually sooner or later. Probably sooner.”
All the signs point to Armstrong releasing new music in the near future. The Longshot would be the latest addition to the musician’s stable of side projects, which also includes the bands Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Network and The Coverups.
Green Day’s most recent album is 2016’s Revolution Radio.
