An air expo is currently being planned for Saturday at the Flippin Airport. Several attractions are scheduled including fly-overs by military planes from nearby bases, drone demonstrations, air medical teams and helicopters on display, a fire department smoke house, small area and regional aircraft on display, and helicopter rides. Food and various other vendors will also be present. There is no admission charge for the event.

The air expo was once a staple event in Flippin, but was discontinued in the 1990s. According to air boss for the expo Ronnie Smith, there is a lot of excitement in the aviation community about its revival.

Anyone who is interested in being a vendor or flying in for the event is encouraged by expo staff to contact Martha Briggs of the Flippin Chamber of Commerce at 870-656-2842 or Garrett Stice with the Flippin Airport at 870-656-7843.
