A Marion County man, 38-year-old Richard Aaron Gilbert of Flippin, has been charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening, as well as a misdemeanor count of battery, following an incident in which he allegedly threatened to shoot his wife in the head.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the arrest earlier this month stems from an incident in February when the couple was engaged in a verbal argument escalating until Gilbert grabbed his wife and began throwing her around. While the altercation was underway, two juveniles arrived at the residence, allowing Gilbert’s wife to exit the residence.

Gilbert allegedly chased his wife out into the yard where he resumed shoving and pulling on her. His wife left the residence with another individual. She later contacted Gilbert in an effort to retrieve clothing for her son. During their conversation over a speaker phone with a third individual listening, Gilbert allegedly told his wife she was not coming back to the residence, and he had a bullet for her.

Online records with the Marion County jail indicate Gilbert was booked into the detention center on the evening of April 11th and released minutes later after posting a $5,000 bond. He entered a not guilty plea in Marion County Circuit Court on April 18th.
