Alexandria Marie Rodriguez of Gassville was given 12 years probation for participating to some degree with others in the armed robbery of a Cotter liquor store in January, as well as breaking into vending machines and possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A vehicle traced to the 26-year-old Rodriguez was allegedly used in the armed robbery of the Cotter liquor store. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, and officers also found drugs and drug paraphernalia, along with a handgun tied to the Cotter robbery.

Joshua Cooper of Cotter was charged with being the one who actually entered the liquor store with the handgun, forced the on-duty clerk to empty the cash register and demanded to be given cigarettes. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in August.

Rodriguez was also charged with being involved with Cooper and another man in breaking into several vending machines at businesses in Midway and Mountain Home. She was said to have driven Cooper to businesses where the vending machine break-ins took place.

The state was also authorized to seize the vehicle involved in the liquor store robbery and $3,000 in cash.

It was announced in court Thursday Rodriguez had entered and successfully completed an addiction rehabilitation program since being involved in the incidents for which she was charged.
