Layton wins Funtastic Big Bass Tournament

Jake Layton was crowned the overall winner of the Funtastic Big Bass Tournament Sunday on Bull Shoals Lake. Layton won the 2:00 weigh-in at Oakland Marina with a 4.6-pound largemouth bass edging out Cody Huff who won the 10:00 weigh-in at 4.59 pounds. Layton’s total winnings were $1,100.

Kim Crecelius took home the optional pot for the biggest smallmouth of the tournament after winning the final weigh-in with a 3.15-pound fish. Crecelius finished the day with a total of $405.

Seven other $100 prizes were awarded for each hourly weigh-in. Jim Griffin led off with a 2.9-pound bass at 8:00, Mike Sanders won at 9:00 with 3.57 pounds, Lauren Johnson caught a 3.46-pound fish for 11:00 and a 3.56-pounder for noon, A.J. Rucher was the 1:00 winner at 3.42 pounds, and Adam Johnson ended up at the top of the 3:00 leaderboard with 2.77 pounds.
