Damion Jackson McBride, who is currently an inmate in the North Central Unit of the state prison system at Calico Rock on an earlier conviction, entered a guilty plea to a charge of failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

He was sentenced to three years in prison, with two suspended and one to serve.

The 40-year-old McBride has a fairly lengthy criminal record with a number of failure to register charges included. According to electronic court records, he has had a total of 15 criminal cases filed against him in both Baxter and Stone counties stretching back to 1996.

McBride was arrested on the current failure to register charge in January when officers discovered he had moved from his listed address to the home of his girlfriend on State Highway 5 South.

While at the woman’s home to check on McBride, he was spotted in the passenger seat of a small pickup truck pulling into the address. McBride was arrested without incident.
