Exactly two weeks after 49-year-old Rachel Callaway of Mountain Home entered a no contest plea to a charge in a drug-related case, she was back in the Baxter County Detention Center on new drug-related charges.

In both cases, Callaway is accused of selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with law enforcement.

In the earlier case, Callaway was sentenced to five years probation in Baxter County Circuit Court on May 17th.

In the latest case, the Mountain Home woman is charged in connection with allegedly selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant on May 7th and May 9th. The aggregate total of methamphetamine from both buys was approximately 12 grams. Both of the buys took place within 1,000 feet of a city park, and a cell phone was used to facilitate the transactions.

Callaway has been charged with two felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful use of a communications device.

She is being held in lieu of a $40,000 bond and is set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month to answer to the charges.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Callaway is also being held on a probation violation from a previous case.

Agencies involved were the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police Department, and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
