The Calico Rock Museum System has officially dedicated various galleries and a center. The Art and Science Center was named in the memory of Tom Tomlinson, and galleries were dedicated to the late sculptor Harvey Bufford, Lester and Emma Morgan, Mayor Ronnie Guthrie, E.L. “Red” and Mary Jane Kerr, Barbara Mitchell Farris, and the Oakwood Foundation.

Miss Arkansas 2016 Savannah Skidmore delivered the keynote address, and musical performances were provided by Anna Graetz and Alana Gregory. In addition to dedications, the museum foundation recognized supporters of the arts and sciences, many who gave just $24 to see the new center become a reality. The center was a $250,000 project dedicated to the people, debt-free at, its opening.

Lobby donors Robert and Tina Barnes, Dean and Peggy Hudson, Gene Lockie, and Wayne and Gaye Wood were recognized. Appreciation was also expressed to Gus Causbie, Jill Easton, Jim Spencer, Randy Hiles, Melissa Traversie and many other good friends who made the center a reality.
