Camden native maintains slight lead in Big Bass Bonanza

The leader after the opening day of the Arkansas Big Bass Bonanza is maintaining his lead after the second day went in the books, but the margin became a little smaller. Billy Holeman, Jr., of Camden weighed in a 6.03-pound bass Friday at the Pine Bluff pool of the Arkansas River, but Chris Tucker of Russellville was able to catch a 6.01-pounder in the Russellville pool on Saturday.

There is also a new leader in the North Little Rock pool. John Faucett brought in a fish weighing 5.39 pounds.

The leaders in the other two pools remain the same. Blake Anschultz caught a 5.95-pound bass Friday in the Dumas pool, and Ashley Whitman has a 5.28-pounder in the Fort Smith pool.

There was also no lead changes in either of the youth divisions. Scout Echols leads grades 9 through 12 at 5.54 pounds. Bryson Ridenour leads the the 6th through 8th grade group at 2.3 pounds.
