A lightning strike Thursday evening apparently started a fire that destroyed a home in Ozark County. No injuries were reported.
KYTV reports the homeowners told emergency crews they heard a loud boom just before 7:00 Thursday night and then smelled smoke. The home is located on Highway 160, two miles west of Caulfield.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office says fire fighters from Caulfield, Tecumseh, Bakersfield and Cloud Nine fought the blaze.
The homeowner’s names were not available.
