Courtesy of Paula Abdul2018 marks the 30th anniversary of Paula Abdul‘s smash debut album, Forever Your Girl, an in honor of the milestone, the dance-pop star will launch a North American headlining tour in the fall. The trek, dubbed Straight Up Paula!, kicks off with an October 3 concert in Morristown, New Jersey, and is mapped out through a November 17 in Indio, California.
The 26-city out marks Abdul’s first solo headlining tour in 25 years, and will feature the singer. dancer and choreographer performing her best-loved tunes, including such chart-topping hits as “Straight Up,” “Forever Your Girl,” “Opposites Attract,” “Rush Rush” and “Cold Hearted.”

Released in June 1988, Forever Your Girl spent 10 nonconsecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 1989 and ’90. It yielded four chart-topping singles — the title track, “Straight Up,” “Opposites Attract” and “Cold Hearted” — and went on to sell more than 7 million copies in the U.S.
Last year, Paula teamed up with Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block for the sold-out U.S. trek the Total Package Tour.
