LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ An Arkansas death row inmate who authorities say attempted suicide last week has been moved to a prison hospital.

Solomon Graves, a spokesman for the Arkansas Department of Correction, said convicted murderer Don Davis was moved Sunday from an outside hospital to the hospital at the Ouachita River Correctional Unit. Graves would release no information on Davis’ condition.

Arkansas State Police said last week investigators responded Thursday to an attempted suicide by Davis. State Police said correctional officers told investigators that Davis was hospitalized with unspecified injuries after he put a razor blade to his throat.

Davis was one of eight inmates Arkansas planned to execute last year. His execution and three others were halted by court rulings.
