For the second time this week, local law enforcement have seized heroin in arrests.

In the latest incident, two people from Mountain Home man, 31-year-old Corey Saylor and 26-year-old Brittany Wedgeworth, were arrested Wednesday morning following a search warrant being served at a residence along Bomber Boulevard near Mountain Home High School.

According to the probable cause affidavits, officers from three agencies went to the residence of Saylor, where they also located Wedgeworth in a back bedroom.

In the room the two share, officers located a box concealed under the bed containing approximately 4 grams of a powder substance, 23 grams of a crystalline substance, Narcan kits, soboxone strips and drug paraphernalia. Packaging for other suboxone strips was located by the bed, along with marijuana and pipes. A container fixed to Wedgeworth’s purse contained additional crystalline substance.

Saylor allegedly told officers he began using the substance some months ago and had backslid. He said he started using heroin recently. Wedgeworth said she would have marijuana in her system, but was aware or suspected Saylor had begun using meth. She had no answer for whey she had methamphetamine in a container in her purse.

The arrests followed an incident earlier this month when Saylor is alleged to have sold 7 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. The location of the transaction was within 1,000 feet of a church.

Saylor and Wedgeworth have both been charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia for use of distribution and ingestion of methamphetamine and proximity to certain facilities.

In addition, Saylor faces a second count of proximity to certain facilities, as well as delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and unlawful use of a communication device.

Saylor’s bond has been set at $50,000, while Wedgeworth’s has been set at $10,000.
