Kiara Howell of Mountain Home who was charged with stealing a vehicle and debit card from her father pled guilty to the charges against her and was given four years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 18-year-old Howell’s father reported the thefts early last month. He told investigators the stolen debit card had been used to make an unauthorized withdrawal from his account. A video surveillance image from the bank showed his daughter making the transaction.

Mountain Home police located the stolen truck on June 21st. Howell and her boyfriend were in the vehicle. The bed of the pickup had been painted with what appeared to be a can of black spray paint.

In April, Howell had been given four years probation on drug-related charges following a traffic stop in mid-March in which drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.

The state dismissed the revocation of that suspended sentence when Howell pled guilty to the charges involved the theft of the vehicle and debit card from her father.
