A man who tried to obtain a narcotic pain medication with faked prescriptions entered a guilty plea during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to six years probation.

Twenty-nine-year-old Spencer King, whose last known address was listed as Springdale, admitted he passed several fake prescriptions at local pharmacies during a several-month period.

King was arrested when a local pharmacy alerted police a customer was in the store apparently attempting to pass a fake prescription for Oxycodone. King was detained until police arrived at the business.

King told investigators he had been passing the fakes for several months prior to his arrest.

King said he would obtain the fake prescriptions from a person not identified in the probable cause affidavit. He said he would return the medication to the unnamed person who paid King for his services in pills.
