A Mountain Home woman, 38-year-old Amy Tolliver, is facing felony charges of forgery, possesion of a firearm by certain persons, meaning she is a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a theft and forgery were reported to Mountain Home Police Tuesday. The victim said he had discovered he had three missing checks. He provided officers copies of two cleared checks and noted he had stopped payment on a third.

Store video footage was reviewed showing the suspect, later identified as Tolliver, passing the two checks at different locations. The victim told officers Tolliver performs general maintenance at his residence, and he had paid her in cash.
He said he has never given her checks or the three missing ones.

Law enforcement went to Tolliver’s residence. With a search waiver on file for the active felony probationer, drug paraphernalia and a recepit for one of the passed checks were located. A search of her vehicle revealed a loaded .40 caliber handgun in the center console, along with additional drug paraphernalia.

Tolliver was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center late Thursday afternoon and released less than an hour later, after posting a $5,000 bond.
