
It’s week three of the high school football season in Arkansas, and for many teams in the Natural State, this week marks the end of non-conference play.
The Mountain Home Bombers have Friday night off. The Bombers are 0-3 on the season and will begin 6A East Conference play next Friday night at home against Jonesboro.
Before Yellville-Summit begins the 3A-2, they will have to go on the road Friday to meet Berryville.
The Panthers come into the game at 1-1 on the season. Yellville-Summit is coming off their home opener in which they lost to Salem.
Berryville is 1-1 after suffering a one-touchdown loss to Huntsville last week. Panthers’ head coach Lucas Morris says his squad have been preparing on different aspects of the Bobcats’ schemes including their running game.

Also on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem hosts Walnut Ridge, Melbourne entertains Cave City, Marshall travels to Quitman, and Mountain View makes the trip to Harrisburg.
There is one matchup between teams ranked in the Arkansas Sports Media top ten. Second-ranked Bryant is home against number three Fayetteville.
For Missouri, Friday marks the fourth week of the season. Among area schools, West Plains heads to Springfield to meet Kickapoo, Hollister hosts McDonald County, Forsyth travels to Fair Grove, Branson entertains Webb City, Ava is home against Mountain View-Liberty, Willow Springs makes the trip to Mountain Grove, and Thayer hosts Salem, Missouri.
