SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Documents say a man charged in a Springfield homicide told police he thought he was dreaming when he fatally shot the victim.

The Springfield News-Leader reports 33-year-old Lucky Davis is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon in the death of 27-year-old Anthony Correa. Bond is set at $500,000. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.

Police say Correa was visiting with a friend Monday night when a man pulled up
and shot Correa in the chest before driving off. Davis was arrested Wednesday.

Court documents say Correa’s friend told police Davis hung out with Correa’s neighbors. The friend said Correa had recently confronted Davis about revving his engine because it was waking Correa’s children.
