SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) – A man has been charged with three misdemeanors after a crash that killed a 10-year-old boy at a Springfield elementary school.
Greene County prosecutor Dan Patterson on Monday charged Lonnie Yeager with three misdemeanors, including operating a vehicle without a license and two counts of lying on a state form when applying for a driver’s license.
Investigators say Yeager’s vehicle hit and killed Riddick Tudor outside Campbell Elementary in September 2017. Four other people were injured.
KY3 reports evidence shows Yeager had a medical episode consistent with a seizure at the time of the crash.
Yeager didn’t have a Missouri driver’s license at the time of the crash. Records from a previous case show Yeager told police he wasn’t supposed to be driving because he had a traumatic brain Injury.
