An Ozark County native and a television reporter for KRBK Channel 5 Fox news in Springfield, Lakyn McGee, has accepted a morning reporter position at WOI Local 5 TV in Des Moines, Iowa. According to the Ozark County Times, McGee will be on the stations Good Morning Iowa show from 4:00 until noon.
McGees official start date in Des Moines is October 1st. She will be producing, shooting, editing and anchoring her own stories. McGee said her goal is to make it to the Today show someday.
Lakyn McGee is the daughter of Shannon and Keith McGee of Gainesville.
