Several Mountain Home High School tennis players advanced Tuesday in the opening round of the 5A East Conference Tournament being played in Searcy.
On the girl’s side, Emily Heidi and Meagan Beck have both advanced to the semifinals as did the doubles team of Sarah Godfrey and Micaela McLean. The doubles team of Karoline Yeakley and Mandelyn Smeltzer won their first round match but lost in the second round.
In boy’s action, Alex Arp and Jake McGehee both won their first round matches but were defeated in the second round. The doubles team of Sam Arp and Anakin Osgood have advanced to the semifinals.
