A mobile home in the Dora area was destroyed by a fire early Sunday morning. No one was home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported.

The Ozark County Times reports a neighbor walked out of his home off Highway CC around midnight and saw his neighbor’s mobile home on fire. The owner of the home, Laura Smith, was not home at the time.

Firefighters from Dora, Caney Mountain, Tecumseh and Caulfield battle the blaze of over two hours but the home is listed as a total loss.

Officials believe a faulty extension cord is what started the blaze.
