There were a few high school basketball games played in the area Monday night.
In boy’s action:
-Yellville-Summit defeated Lead Hill 78-48. The Panthers are now 8-3.
-Bruno-Pyatt lost to Eureka Springs 75-49. The Patriots drop to 4-16 on the year.
-Melbourne lost to Bay 71-42, dropping the Bearkatz record to 2-8.
In girl’s action:
-Norfork got past Jasper 54-43 as the Lady Panthers run their record to 14-3. Jasper falls to 14-4.
-Lead Hill lead 16-0 after the first quarter and beat Yellville-Summit 53-23. The Lady Panthers are now 3-10.
In junior high action, Cotter won both of their junior high games against Marshall. The Junior Warriors were 37-34 winners. Jeffry Haynes scored 10 points and Hayden Hutson added 9.
Cotter topped Marshall in the junior girl’s game 42-16. Kate Cheek pumped in 20 points.
Marshall won the 7th grade girl’s contest 18-9.
