Fishing Tournament Update

Earl Garrison III and Earl Garrison IV won the season opener of the Perfect Catch Marine & Sports Tuesday Night Tournament series at Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock after catching five fish weighing 14 1/2 pounds.  They took home $210 and an additional $250 for winning in a Ranger boat.  This series continues at Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock every week through August 7th with the exception of July 3rd.  For more information, contact Perfect Catch at 870-445-2628.

The 31st-annual Funtastic Big Bass Tournament sponsored by the Lake Norfork Bass Club and Discount Auto is scheduled for Sunday, May 20th, on Bull Shoals Lake.  The entry fee is $35 per person, and there is an optional Big Smallmouth pot for an additional $5.  Hourly weigh-ins will be held at Oakland Marina.  A $100 prize goes to the biggest bass for each hour, second place gets $75, and third place will receive $50.  The grand prize for the overall big bass is $1,000.  Hourly reports can be heard throughout the day on Classic Hits 101.7.  For more information, call 870-656-5721 or 479-414-0122.

The third-annual Angling for Athletes Benefit Buddy Bass Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th, at Theodosia Marina and Resort.  The entry fee is $100 per boat, and a Big Bass Jackpot is included.  Checks should be made payable to “Special Olympics Missouri.”  To register online, go to somo.org/angling.  For more information, look for Angling 4 Athletes on Facebook.
