Credit: Ruben MartinCarlos Santana is among the many artists scheduled to perform at the Many Rivers to Cross Social Justice Music & Arts Festival, scheduled for October 1 and 2 at Bouckaert Farm in the Atlanta suburb of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. The event’s goal is to promote and raise awareness about important human rights issues.
Santana is one of the headliners of the festival, which also will include performances by Dave Matthews, John Legend, comedian Chris Rock, actor/singer Jamie Foxx, Public Enemy and rappers T.I., Common and Macklemore. In addition, the event will give attendees the chance interact with activist and “thought-leaders” in order to learn about various social justice and human-rights issues.
The festival is being organized by the Sankofa.org, which activist/entertainer Harry Belafonte established in 2013 as a platform for artists and community leaders could work together to promote discussion on important issues.
Tickets for the Many Rivers to Cross festival are available for purchase now at Ticketfly.com, with prices ranging from $115 to $300. For more information, visit Sankofa.org and ManyRiversFestival.com.
