It was a tough home opener for the Yellville-Summit High School football team. The Panthers fell to Salem by a final of 20-7.
Yellville-Summit struck first on a nine-yard touchdown run by Dylan Schlotman, but the Greyhounds found the end zone three times in the second half. Schlotman led the Panthers with 22 carries for 101 yards.
Yellville-Summit falls to 0-2 on the season, and they’ll host Atkins next week. Salem improves to 1-1, and their next opponent will be Melbourne.
