Rhino RecordsFrankie Valli has unveiled a lyrics video for his new cover of the yuletide R&B standard “Merry Christmas, Baby,” which appears on the legendary singer’s first-ever holiday album, ‘Tis the Seasons. The tune features a guest appearance by Jeff Beck, who delivers some tasty blues guitar work.
The clip is highlighted by some clever animation that brings to life the painting featured on the cover of ‘Tis the Seasons, which shows Valli singing while snowflakes are falling around him. You can watch the video now at Rhino Records’ official YouTube channel.
‘Tis the Seasons was produced by Valli’s longtime collaborator Bob Gaudio, who co-founded The Four Seasons with Frankie in 1960.
Valli and the current Four Seasons lineup will promote the new album at a December 9-10 engagement in Phoenix and a December 17 concert in Durant, Oklahoma. The group also has a few 2017 dates lined up.
