CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas State Police say an Arkansas man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man whose body was found in a wooded area in Johnson County.

State police announced Friday that 37-year-old Christopher Weston was charged in the June 2016 killing of Ricky Partin.

State police say Weston was transferred to the Johnson County jail on Thursday night in connection with the charges. State prison records show Weston was previously being held at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock on weapon and drug convictions, and state police say those are unconnected to the Partin case.

Court records do not list an attorney for Weston.
