The Cotter City Council met in Regular Session on Thursday with all Council Members present. The Council heard a presentation from Cotter/Gassville Chamber of Commerce Representative Jane Hatchet as she encouraged the members of both organizations to work together for the betterment of the City. She also invited Council Members to attend the 2017 Annual Cotter-Gassville Chamber Banquet.
In other council news, City CPA Brain Haas addressed the council pertaining to the 2015 Water Audit, and the council passed a resolution to adopt the amended 2016 City Budget. Council member Roland Morris requested a workshop be set to discuss the 2017 Operating Budget for February 9, at 6:00 in the evening.
Council also ratified the Mayors Planning and Zoning Commission appointment of Ken Carr. Newly elected council member Carolyn Gill will serve on the Waster Water Commission Board for the cities of Cotter and Gassville. The next regularly scheduled Cotter City Council meeting will be February 23, at 6:00 in the evening at Cotter City Hall.
