The Mountain Home junior varsity girls’ soccer team had a rough outing at home as they were shut out by Southside Batesville’s varsity squad 2-0. Paola Harvey recorded three saves for the J.V. Lady Bombers. Mountain Home’s varsity squads will open the season Thursday as they welcome Green Forest to Bomber Stadium.
The West Plains High School boys’ basketball team was eliminated from the Class 4, District 9 Tournament at Bolivar. The Zizzers fell to Logan-Rogersville 70-51. West Plains’ season ends with a record of 6-20.
Branson’s girls were able to advance to the finals of the Class 5, District 11 Tournament at Glendale High School in Springfield. The Lady Pirates were able to squeak by Ozark 52-50. Branson improves to 23-4 on the year, and they’ll compete for the district title Thursday against top-seeded Springfield Kickapoo.
