A Mountain Home woman who has been held in the Baxter County jail since mid-Februray on felony theft charges now faces additional felony charges of forgery. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the forgery charges against 49 year Christie Lynn Lundholm are unrelated to the previous charges. Bond for the felony charges are $50,000 making her total bond $61,320.
According to the sheriff, investigators from his department responded to a call a week after Lundholm's February 17th arrest at a storage unit in Baxter County where a suitcase containing counterfeit U. S. currency was found by relatives she had asked to clean out the unit. The over 100 bills, in $5, $20 and $50 denominations, were recovered and taken into evidence.
Earlier in the year, Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says they had received a report of a counterfeit $50 being passed at a local business. Sheriff's investigators also learned counterfeit bills had been located by the McCreary County, Kentucky Sheriff at a compound where Lundholm had stayed.
