The Army Corps of Engineers has announced the closure of one lane of State Highway 177 over Norfork Lake Dam from Tuesday, March 7 through Friday, April 14, for maintenance on the dam's tainter gates.
Motorists traveling in the area may expect delays and should drive cautiously around equipment and work crews during this period.
Officials with the corps regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask for the public's cooperation during the closure which is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement agencies.
