The Valley Springs girls' defense of last year's Class 3A state championship fell short on Friday. The Lady Tigers fell in the title game to Hoxie 51-40 at Bank of the Ozarks Arena in Hot Springs. Valley Springs' season comes to an end with a record of 33-7.
