
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) The men's head basketball coach at A-State is Texas-bound after reports of being hired by the North Texas Mean Green.
Former A-State Men's Basketball Coach Grant McCasland led the Red Wolves to a 20-12 record in his first and only season.
The Red Wolves finished the season with an overtime loss to Louisiana-Monroe in the Sun Belt Tournament.
McCasland signed a 5-year deal back in April 2016 making $350,000 a year.
Per his contract, if McCasland leaves before the end of the contract he will owe A-State $500,000.
North Texas went 8-22 overall and 2-16 in CUSA this year.
A-State went 20-12 overall, and 11-7 in the Sun Belt this year.
