The role of a law enforcement officer is more than enforcing the laws that govern communities, apprehending criminals and protecting citizens and property. In addition to risking their lives for those they vow to serve and protect, these dedicated men and women also reach out to help those they serve and improve the quality of life in their communities.
Twin Lakes Area residents are fortunate to have outstanding examples of law enforcement professionals and to be spared from the violence and unrest experienced in other parts of the country.
In an effort to show appreciation to all local law enforcement officers, KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot are profiling Corporal Mychal Warno, one of the many fine examples of a dedicated police officer in the Twin Lakes Area.
A graduate of Mountain Home High School with a two year degree from ASU-Mountain Home in criminal justice, Warno says he knew from an early age he wanted to be a police officer.

Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel describes Warno as a police officer who treats people with respect.

Warno calls himself a family man, who enjoys spending time with his wife, Hayley, watching his five year old son, Jarrett, play baseball and volunteering in the community. Each year he joins other local law enforcement officers in the annual Shop with a Cop, taking underprivileged children Christmas shopping. He recently participated in Reading is Fundamental reading to kindergarteners in Mountain Home. A former board member of the Ozark Football Association, he referees youth football games.
