Courtesy of AXS TVWith Blondie gearing up for the May 5 release of its latest album, Pollinator, the influential New Wave band will be featured on a new AXS TV concert special premiering this Sunday, April 2, at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
The 80-minute program captures an intimate show singer Debbie Harry and company played at the studio of Chicago PBS affiliate WTTW. It features performances of Blondie classics like “Dreaming,” “One Way or Another,” “Call Me,” “Rapture” and “The Tide Is High,” and also will give fans a live preview of the Pollinator tunes “Gravity” and “My Monster.”
In other news, in advance of Pollinator‘s arrival, Blondie has released a new single called “Long Time.” The band collaborated with indie-R&B artist Blood Orange on the track, which features infectious ’80s synth sounds and dance beats reminiscent of Blondie’s chart-topping 1979 hit “Heart of Glass.”
A limited-edition seven-inch vinyl single featuring “Long Time” and a non-album track, “The Breaks,” will be available in independent record shops in conjunction with the 2017 Record Store Day campaign on April 22. You can listen to “Long Time” now at Blondie’s official VEVO YouTube channel.
