
Danny Clinch; BERTRAND GUAY/AFP/Getty ImagesThe nominees for this year’s Billboard Music Awards have been revealed, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and the late Prince are among the veteran artists in the running for multiple honors.
Springsteen and the E Street Band will compete for the Top Touring Artist and Top Rock Tour awards, while Prince has been nominated in the Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Song Sales Artist categories. In addition, Prince’s classic soundtrack to the 1984 film Purple Rain received a nod for the Top Soundtrack honor.
Another music legend, Lionel Richie, will vie for the Top R&B Tour award.
Artists who earned the most Billboard Music Award nominations this year are Drake and The Chainsmokers, both of whom are up for 22 awards. For the full list of nominees, visit Billboard.com.
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 21, on ABC.
