The show is for 4-H and FFA members who have livestock related projects. The six counties eligible to attend include Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Newton, and Searcy.
The first event at the Baxter County Fairgrounds will be the goat show at 9:30 followed by official judging of all other livestock throughout the day. Complete catalogs and schedules are available at the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension office.
Horses will be entered and the horse show will start at 9:00 at the Bar None Cowboy Church for performance events followed by speed events at the arena.
Mike Bradshaw, President of the Jr. District Spring Show, encourages all interested persons to come and support our youth as they show their livestock projects in competition. He emphasized that the show provides 4-H and FFA youth with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in showing livestock. The show also serves as a preview or practice run for the fall shows and fairs.
Additional information may be obtained by contacting the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension office at 425-2335, local Vo-Ag/FFA Advisors, or Mike Bradshaw.
Both the livestock show and horse show are open to the public and admission is free.
