Credit: Duane SyczSammy Hagar and his star-studded hard-rock group The Circle will join forces with veteran alt-rockers Collective Soul for a series of U.S. concerts this September. The cross-country trek gets underway with a September 10 show in San Bernardino, California, and the bands will finish what they started on September 30 in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Hagar formed The Circle in 2014 with his former Van Halen band mate Michael Anthony on bass, one-time Led Zeppelin and Foreigner drummer Jason Bonham, and guitarist Vic Johnson from Sammy’s longtime backing group, The Wabos. The Circle’s show feature renditions of songs from Hagar’s solo career, as well as by Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and Sammy’s former band, Montrose.
Opening all dates on Hagar and The Circle’s September trek will be Sammy’s son, singer/songwriter Andrew Hagar. A limited number of $20 tickets to select shows will be available as part of the Live Nation Kickoff to Summer Ticket Promotion.
Prior to their tour with Collective Soul, Hagar and The Circle have a run of previously announced North American dates in June and early July.
