A local funeral director service is expanding its operations. Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services recently purchased the former US Bank in Summit with plans to open a full-service funeral home at the location. The renovations to the facility are nearly complete.
Kirby and Family donated the former bank’s teller window and money drop to Mayor Tobey Norberg for the City of Summit. The donated equipment will be installed at the City Hall to provide convenient payment drop off for area residents.
The renovated facility will feature a large communal area for funeral services, visitation rooms, meeting rooms for families and employee offices. The full-service facility will also be staffed by a pre-arrangement counselor and funeral director to assist individuals and families with service planning and coordination.
Kirby and Family’s Yellville-Summit location will be managed by Funeral Director, Pre-Arrangement Counselor and Official Life Celebrant Heather Marsalis. She has been with the funeral home since 2005.
Kirby and Family President Jason Kirby says everyone at the funeral home is excited to offer families of Marion County an additional funeral service option. Kirby and Family has served Marion County since 1979 at their Bull Shoals facility. The new location will make it easier for those living in the western portion of the county.

Marion County families are served from two locations; 717 Central Boulevard in Bull Shoals and 206 South Main Street in Summit.
