Credit: Clay Patrick McBrideBob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have been off the road for more than two years, but the Michigan rockers will return to action later this year with a one-night-only performance September 9 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in the Detroit suburb of Clarkston. It’ll mark the first time since 1996 that Seger and his group will perform at the venue, originally known as the Pine Knob Music Theatre.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the general public Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m. local time. Members of Seger’s “Bullet Club” fan club will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m.

People joining as premium members of the club will receive a special Pine Knob 2017 show t-shirt, a copy of an upcoming limited-edition remastered two-LP version of Seger’s Greatest Hits pressed on purple vinyl, and a Bullet Club laminate. You can join the “Bullet Club” at BobSeger.com.

Seger and the Silver Bullet Band’s haven’t performed live since their tour in support of Bob’s most recent studio album, Ride On, wrapped in March 2015.

The upcoming Detroit-area concert is the only confirmed date on Seger’s schedule, although a note on the tour page of his official website teases, “Stay Tuned…”
